In The Beginning

Well blogosphere, here is my first official posting.

Since setting up this blog it has only taken me a month and a half to get around to my first post. I am nothing if not efficient. This is definitely a work/idea in progress that I hope will take form over the next few months. Until I figure out where this whole thing is taking me it might be a random ride.

A few things about myself. My name is Matthew Wassink. I am a 24 year old seminary student living on Grand Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota...hence the name of the blog. I am closing in on two years of marriage to a wonderful and gracious woman named Hannah. Outside of Christ, she is the greatest blessing in my life and the best partner anyone could ask for, Praise God. We are members of Sovereign Grace Fellowship in Bloomington, MN and cannot express how significant that church has been in drawing us toward Jesus Christ.

In addition to being a full-time sem. student I am also an assistant football coach at Bethel University. I love reading and learning, like to think of myself as a snowboarder and enjoy just about any diversion that is active (esp. sports related).
